Dr. Matthew Gillon decided to become an optometrist while participating in an optometric humanitarian trip in rural Guatemala. He attended Midwestern University's Arizona College of Optometry after completing his bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University and post-graduate work in Biochemistry at Utah State University. He learned Spanish while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile. In his free time, Dr. Gillon enjoys running, swimming, and spending as much time as he can with his wife and three daughters.
