Experience the convenience of receiving comprehensive eye care on your terms. Nationwide Vision now offers in-office remote eye exams. Using advanced technology, the eye doctors provide high-quality care in the clinic with communication from an optometrist located remotely.
With expanded appointment availability, these in-office virtual exams offer flexibility that fits your busy schedule. Through remote eye exams, the doctors can identify potential eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
An on-site technician will pre-test your current prescription, measure your corneas, check your eye pressure, and capture detailed eye images. You’ll then meet with a licensed optometrist through a high-definition video consultation, receiving a comprehensive eye exam in under 30 minutes. An on-site team member will support you throughout the remote exam.

Flexible appointment times to fit busy schedules.

Thorough exams that detect conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Direct interaction with licensed optometrists via high-definition video conferencing.

Exams completed in under 30 minutes with quick feedback and accurate vision prescriptions.

At your local Nationwide Vision eye center, an on-site technician will guide you to the pre-testing area, where they will record your current prescription. They will also measure your corneas, check your eye pressure, capture images and videos of your eyes, and complete any additional testing that may be needed.
You will meet with a licensed optometrist as if they were in the office, but instead of joining you in person, the doctor will connect with you through a high-definition video conference. The full eye health exam is completed in under 30 minutes, and an on-site team member will remain with you throughout your remote visit.
Just like a standard comprehensive eye exam, an in-office remote eye exam is designed to detect vision issues and update or identify your prescription. While comprehensive exams usually take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, in-office remote eye exams only take 30 minutes, making them perfect for those with busy schedules.
Before talking with an optometrist, a Clarkson Eyecare staff member will perform a few different tests, ranging from eye pressure measurements to visual acuity tests. The information gained during these screenings will then be passed to the remote optometrist who will discuss next steps, recommendations, and treatments with you.
Just like a fully in-person comprehensive eye exam, the eye doctors conducting Nationwide Vision’s remote exams can detect many eye diseases in their early stages. The optometrist will review your medical history and eye health, evaluate your testing results, adjust your vision using remote equipment, and address any questions you may have.
The doctor will then review all findings and work with you to issue an accurate vision prescription. The goal is to help you achieve clearer vision as quickly as possible, and—just as with an in-person visit—you’ll receive a prescription at the end of your appointment when appropriate.

At Nationwide Vision, the experienced eye doctors make it simple to achieve clear, comfortable vision. Whether you’re scheduling an eye exam for yourself, your child, or your entire family, you can expect:
